Located in Central Seattle near the 1-5 and I-90 Interchange and down the block from Big John’s PFI. (Here you can pick up your favorite Italian imported wine and cheese at their shop, before your hair appointment.👍🏼)

Getting here:

  • Free 2 and 4 hour street parking is typically available within a 2 block walk of the salon, please allow yourself time to park. If your service is a color service and you parked in a 2 hour parking spot, Carter has a Guest Parking Pass available so you can stay past 2 hours without reparking.

  • The three closest ADA parking spaces are on the east side of Hiawatha Place S.

  • Bus stops for the 7, 9, 106, 630, 212, 217 and 554 are half a block away.

  • Bicycle parking available next to the front door on the patio.

Accessibility:

  • The front door to the salon is up 7 stairs. The salon can be accessed without stairs by entering through the 31” wide back door from the driveway behind the salon. Email Carter to be greeted there.

  • Fragrance and ingredient sensitivities. Carter uses fragrance free detergent on all towels and drapes used for clients and their own clothing and doesn’t wear fragrances themselves beyond the fragrance in hair and skin products. They carry Loma fragrance free shampoo and conditioner, but feel free to bring in your own products if you’d like. While the salon is full of hair products that do contain fragrance, some clients with fragrance sensitivities find that with the windows fully open and the above listed precautions that the space works for them.

  • The hydraulic styling chair is rated to 350lbs with a seat width of 21” and depth of 18” and can be moved out of the way if staying in your wheelchair is best.

  • There is a single stall restroom adjacent to the studio salon, with vertical and horizontal grab bars at the toilet, but the 5x5ft layout and 27” wide door is unfortunately too small to accommodate most wheelchairs inside.

  • PLEASE don’t hesitate to reach out with any access needs or questions that you may have. Whenever possible, Carter seeks to accommodate so that their salon space is accessible.
