Carter Renee (they/them) opened their first hair studio in 2015 out of a desire to serve clients in a private, boutique environment, that allows them to focus on each client in a personal, professional way. Carter's passion is quality in the art of hairdressing. Whether it’s creating a shape that allows you to wear your hair with it’s natural texture or adding just the right amount of dimension with a highlight, Carter wants you to be confident wearing your hair as your favorite accessory. They value truly listening to what you want from your haircut and color. Carter takes time to teach you to work with you hair, so you feel confident recreating your look at home.
Carter Renee started cutting hair in high school as a hobby, and hasn’t put their shears down since. Carter moved to Seattle in 2009 to pursue the best education in the NW at Gene Juarez Academy. After graduation, they began their professional career with an apprenticeship at Bocz Salon, where they trained in both cutting and color with two of Seattle’s top stylists. Over the last 14 years, Carter has continued to refine their craft with advanced training both nationally and internationally in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, England, Italy and Iceland with industry leaders Sassoon, Davines, Bumble and Bumble, Vaughn, Wella and Oribe.
When not helping you look even more fabulous, Carter spends their free time in the outdoors, reading books, caring for their plants and going on adventures with their friends and family.
